Directions:
The hotel is situated at the northern edge of the inner Ring Road opposite Watts Park and the Civic Centre. It is in easy walking distance of the Central train station and is only five miles from Southampton/Eastleigh Airport.
The hotel has no car park of its own and the area at the front of the hotel is for 'set-down' and 'pick-up' only. Grosvenor Square multi-storey car park is behind the hotel and is operated by the City Council. Standard parking charges apply.
By Road
From West (A31 Ringwood) & North West (A36 Salisbury);
Join M27 Eastbound, Exit junction 3 signposted "Southampton (M271)", Follow M271 to end (11/2miles), At roundabout turn left signposted "Southampton", Join dual carriageway and get in middle lane as left hand lane immediately exit left, Over flyover, (McDonalds on left), straight over at lights. Over flyover, Get in left hand lane as right hand lane exits right. Approaching lights filter left & turn left at lights over railway bridge. signposted "Shirley", At middle roundabout turn right and immediately get in left hand lane, straight over at lights, Stay in left hand lane, straight over at lights and up hill, (Mayflower theatre on right). Up hill to lights staying in left hand lane, turn left at lights and stay in left hand lane, Follow road right & straight over at lights on bend, 50m Hotel on left with pull-in stopping place.
From North East & North (M3 London / A34 Midlands);
Take exit signposted "A33 Docks" (there are two exits one after the other, take either, as they end up in the same place) (If you miss the exits go WEST on the M27 to junction 3 and exit then use directions from West), (Hilton hotel on left). Over M27, straight over at roundabout, 1/2 mile bear left at middle roundabout, straight over at lights, 50m straight over at lights, park on right. 11/2 miles straight over at lights (Travelodge on left), straight over at lights & get in right hand lane of dual carriageway, 1/4 mile bear right NOT following dual carriageway and immediately turn left on bend, (Courthouse on right & shops both sides & Zebra crossing!) Get in right hand lane at lights and turn right, 25m straight over at lights, (Park on left), 25m straight over at lights, 50m Hotel on right with pull-in stopping place.
From East (M27 Portsmouth & Brighton);
Exit M27 at Junction 5 signposted "Airport", landmark = Ford factory on left, landmark = Airport on right, turn left at roundabout, Follow dual carriageway 3/4 mile to lights, straight over at lights and get in left hand lane, 50m bear left at lights onto wide road, (Petrol station on the left), 1 mile straight over at lights, 1/2 mile straight over at lights, 1/4 mile straight over at lights, 1/4 bear left at lights, landmark = Pub on corner & shops on left, straight over at lights, (Mosque on right & Zebra crossing on bend) 50m get in right hand lane and turn right, 20m roundabout 3rd exit & road bears left, straight over at lights, 25m straight over at lights, (the park is on the left), 25m straight over at lights, 50m Hotel on right with pull-in stopping place.
